Fondest memories connected with Easton Baseball:
|
The entire journey of 1978 in our attempt to be state champions (unsuccessfully). Starting with extended rehab after a severe injury playing easton soccer in September 1977-hitting over 3000 baseballs on the batting cage before ever starting spring training, playing with legendary Easton sports figure’s such as: Lendell Jones, Billy Houston, Jeff Miller, Kevin Kreitz, Brian Kostishion, the Renfrews, Jim Kilpatrick, Bobby Weaver (Olympic Gold Medalist), Ron Rohn (legendary college basketball coach 300+ wins), and sharing the sports page with another Easton alumnus- Larry Holmes winning the heavy weight boxing championship of the world -yes- June 1978!
That year 1978 was quite a year in the city of Easton Pennsylvania!
The philosophy defining so much of that year’s success could be summed up "Wwhatevever you do, do it all for the glory of God with intensity and single minded purpose!"
I had the privilege of having been catcher for three out of the top eight all time pitchers at Easton: Jeff Miller, Brian Kostishion , and Jim Kilpatrick.

Miscellaneous:
|
It would be nice to see a successful state championship campaign be resumed and achieved for the 2017-2018 Red Rovers baseball program!
It will take however, that same philosophy of intensity and single minded purpose and dare I say in this day and age, divine providence!
